2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Month

October marks the 22nd anniversary of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of protecting online information through cybersecurity best practices.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaborative effort led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance  (NCA). This year’s theme, “Building a Cyber Strong America,” highlights the need to strengthen the country’s infrastructure against cyber threats, ensuring resilience and security.

Cybersecurity is more than an IT issue; it is a priority for public safety and economic security. Many organizations are part of the nation’s critical infrastructure, from local utilities and transportation systems to hospitals, schools, and public safety agencies. Many small and medium-sized businesses play an important role in critical infrastructure, including suppliers, contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and other roles that help keep critical infrastructure operating.
