A new threat group identified as Hellcat claims to have stolen sensitive user data after breaching Schneider Electric’s Jira system. The alleged attack compromised critical information, including over 400,000 rows of user data, totaling more than 40GB. Hellcat demanded a $125,000 ransom, further threatening to leak the data if their demands are were unmet. Schneider Electric stated that its products and services were not affected by this incident and is investigating the unauthorized access claim. This is the second cybersecurity incident that targeted Schneider Electric this year.
